Meet the Founders
Cindy Abel
CEO & Founder
Cindy built her career as a consultant before founding and successfully growing her own IT consulting firm. As a mom of three, she watched cyberbullying, exclusion, and body image pressure take a toll on her kids and their friends. That experience became Vescent: a safe space where teen girls feel heard, build confidence, and grow the resilience to navigate life’s challenges.
Lauren Coppola
CPO & Co-Founder
Lauren spent 15+ years building digital products in the corporate world before choosing to put that experience toward mission-driven work. As a mom of two, she has seen firsthand how bullying and social pressure affect kids. It drives her focus on early prevention to build a generation of empathetic, confident, and resilient young people.

Vescent is built for girls ages 13 and up, with privacy and safety at the center. We take applicable privacy laws seriously and handle every family’s information with care. Every interaction on the platform is monitored by trained mentors and staff, and families are always in control of their data.
