Announcing Mentor Central Web-based Training for Vescent Coaches: A Case Study

When the team at Vescent embarked on a journey to create a best practices model for on boarding their coaches, Mentor Georgia became a key partner. While there is a general understanding among our young women about what it means to be a good near peer coach, having a road map to help foster confidence is extremely important.

Through our partnership with Mentor Georgia, we were given access to valuable consulting resources that helped us with each of the best practice mentoring standards: Recruitment, Screening, Training, Matching, Monitor and Support, and Closing. When we asked our consultant, Bianca Singleton, to recommend a resource for mentor specific training to complement our Resilient Technologies MHL training for our coaches, she told us about Mentor Central.

Recently, Elizabeth Porter from Mentor Central, wrote a case study on the Vescent program. The article entitled “Vescent builds an empowering online community for girls with the help of Mentoring Central’s web-based training.”, speaks to the benefits our team has seen because of our training processes.
